Promenade in Paris at 11 o’clock at night, found this lonely Zebra Chair sitting next to the trash bin.
What a waste! Ah, I sould have taken it back home….. Shazy

Who is going to follow the fashion trends of our ‘Big Star Mr Coke & Mrs Coke Light’ ?

Ah, the dresses are lovely, should make my girls so cute !! Sorry, these dresses are for my kids’ doudou rabbits. They sell them in the Toy Shop
‘La Grande Récré ‘ Not cheap though, between 15 to 25 euros each. You will see why I bought them in the next photos.

After nearly 5 years, my girl’s doudou became a ‘frankenstein doudou’, I used different cloths, towels, socks, needles & threads and tried to sew it back to a ‘rabbit doudou’ (obviously I am not very good at the job). When I was in the toy shop last week and saw those lovely dresses for baby dolls, I got an idea for my girl’s doudou. Voila, here is the new dress for her doudou. ( I think rabbit doudou likes its new dress more than my sewing job :))

Thanks to Mr Sunny for creating the mode of sunglasses. I have always wanted to buy a pair of designer fashion sunglasses (you know, like a star and show off a bit….hihihi….), however, it is very difficult to find one with my flat nose. I had one pair (no brand, no fashion) for many years and it was broken few days ago.
With a very good reason to buy a new pair, I went into an optical shop on Avenue Champs-Elysees and looked for one that suitable for my ‘flat nose’. I tried a lot (brand & fashion) but nearly all of them slipped down my nose. While I was disappointingly leaving the shop, I saw the “Ray Ban” display. I tried and it became friend of my ‘flat nose’, I bought it and left the shop with joy.
If you have a ‘flat nose’, you can still find your fashion brand sunglasses.

My kids sunglasses. They don’t care about the brand or fashion, but the colour. ‘We are girls, please buy Pink, mum!!’

At 8 o’clock in the morning, I left my kids at home with their grandmum and came out breath some fresh air. I went inside a ‘Boutique-Coffee Shop; Chez Jean’, bought a magazine, ordered a cup of coffee and sat near the window. Their style is so different from the traditional french café, a bit like a ‘High class 7-Eleven’ in HK. Air-conditioning, coffee, magazines, cakes…. Self-service.
I saw an ecology shopping bag just hanging in front of me, the bag was made of ‘toile’ (canvas), a very simple style. At that moment, I thought of the artile of Peggy ‘05 August, Shopping Bags’, talking about ecology shopping bag. They are everywhere! (oh, I forgot to see the price…maybe next time)

Each year, I will receive 2 catalogues (Spring-summer and Autumn-winter collections) from some online shops. Yesturday, I received the one from ‘La Redoute’; one of the biggest online shop in France. In August, they help you to prepare the coming winter (you can find coats, boots, pulls…etc…for men, women and kids). In this ‘very class’ big envelope, I found a catalogue, an order form with return envelope, a gift vouchure for your first order. The most attractive part is the ‘20 euros cheque’, no matter what you buy, they give you 20 euros back. I personnally have made orders from ‘La Redoute’, have received the free gift and have used the cheque. Except they are quite high in price (lower the prices or raise up the cheque amount, I will buy more :)), this is a very successful online shop. Shazy

When I was little, I liked very much Dr.Slump (A Japanese cartoon which was popular in Hong Kong and China last decade). I went back to HK last month (july), my friends said Dr Slump was coming back and I found easily t-shirts, figures in the shops. Not missing this opportunity, I bought a Tshirt and 2 big figures (delivered directly from Japan). Shazy

On the Avenue des Champs Elysée in Paris, found the display window of Hugo Boss shop very interesting. Shazy

I was born in Hong Kong and now living in Paris. As a Graphic Designer, I have always loved Design. As a mama of 2 little princesses (my partner, Peggy has 2 little princes), we love our kids. 2 years ago, an idea came out from our little heads. We wanted to bring some HK designs to France and French designs to Asia. All interesting design products not too chic, not too cheap but suitable for every style. On this blog, we will talk about design, fashion, decoration, for our kids, our mamas & papas and you; of course who like our designs. We are waiting for you to share your points of view and experiences with us.
I hope ‘Cafe du Design’ will give you fun and excitement, please come to our Café, have a cup of coffee (or tea or soft drink…). Relax and chat about all interesting design products, different ideas, different styles, different colours, different forms; from different designers, different countries …
Designers, mothers, fathers, ladies, gentlemen, aliens…are all invited.
PS : Designers, please contact us asap, we want to present your designs on our blog.
