Salon du Livre Paris 2010 (Paris Book Fair 2010), celebrating 30 years of the Paris Book Fair, we were invited to the ‘book fair opening night’. Oh yes, you could only attend with an invitation card…c’est la classe!!  Thanks to David (Fantasy TV) and Captain Web, we were at Porte de Versailles, drinking champagne, eating petite fours and trying to know more about french literature, science fiction, japanese comics (in french), Childrens’ books, E-book…etc.

Peter Bessard is a photojournalist & documentary filmmaker. After serveral trips to China, he proposed to relocate to Beijing with his wife and children. In this book (365 days in China), he reported a long business trip and a family diary of the Olympics in Beijing in August 2008.
Beyond the press controls, Pierre Bessard forced himself to perform at least one personal photo a day, sometimes for a story in a distant province, sometimes drawing the face of the country. These images reflect a life experience, the desire to integrate but also his surprises and disappointments. This is a “sentimental diary of China”.     Shazy
